Praying for South Sudan

Our heart is breaking over the news coming out of Juba, the capital of South Sudan. The information we are reading from news sources is that over 15,000 people have fled to the UN compound and over 500 people have been killed.

Birthday Cake and Smiles

12 July was Ramsey's birthday. We normally love birthdays and usually try to do at the minimum a movie or out for lunch or sometimes we invite a few friends over to celebrate the special day. However, this birthday came during a busy time. Unfortunately we really didn't plan anything because most of our planning energy has been expended on our upcoming trip to South Sudan. It's a good thing that I can at least make a good chocolate cake...smile. And we ALL love chocolate cake from stratch.

A friend of mine as been letting me borrow her kitchen aid....what a blessing!!!

The boys didn't want to wait for the cake to cool to put the icing on it. So I thought I would put it outside to try to cool it faster...but as you can see from the next photo....they decided they could just put the icing on the side and have warm cake.

mmmmmmm....yummy..........HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!!

Africa Rains and Rainbows

Today was such a beautiful day! And then late in the afternoon it just started raining while it was sunny outside, so Ramsey, Elhanan and I ran outside to see if there would be a rainbow...we weren't disappointed  it was a beautiful FULL double rainbow. Thank You Jesus!

This is a quick prayer request for Ramsey. He is traveling home from South Sudan! Yay!!!

Please pray for travel mercies.

Elhanan and I are so excited he is coming home!

Also, please pray for Calvary Chapel Delaware County. They are traveling this week to come to Kenya. We are so excited to be with them this weekend. They are an amazing group of people who love to minister in Africa. We have had the privilege of knowing the team leaders from this trip for almost 10 years. Please pray for their travels as they have 25 on their team - 50 boxes of luggage that is filled with ministry supplies for Kenya. And that is just a lot of logistics to get everyone here. Pray for GRACE for everyone on the team.

Psalm 118:14-16

The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.  Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: "The LORD's right hand has done mighty things!  The LORD's right hand is lifted high; the LORD's right hand has done mighty things!"

We recently finished another women's Bible study group. What a blessing and a joy to minister with these ladies every week. Please keep a couple of our ladies in prayer for us. One of our ladies, her husband is winning the fight with cancer...thank You Jesus!!! Betina (in the black top below) is in North America working right now and missing her family back here in Kenya. Pray that she is able to finish up what she is doing and come back soon. Also, her husband has been sick, please keep Sammy in prayer.

Yucky Sore Throat!!!!

Hi Everyone,

This is a quick prayer request for health.

Ramsey has been fighting something for a few days and now today, Vicky woke up with a sore throat that seems to be getting worse.

Please pray that Ramsey & Vicky would recover quickly and that Elhanan would stay healthy.

Please pray as Vicky is starting this year's women's bible study this coming Thursday morning....could this be spiritual warfare....we wouldn't put it past the enemy!!! But we are standing on God's promises and he is a defeated foe!!!!
